“We’re pleased to welcome Yellowfin to the AWS Marketplace,” said AWS Country Manager ANZ,Ed Lenta. “Yellowfin’s 100% Web-based BI solution enables AWS customers to rapidly and independently start building sophisticated data analysis and BI solutions in the AWS cloud in minutes.”

Speaking about the new offering, Yellowfin CEO, Glen Rabie, said “Yellowfin for AWS makes it simple and cost-effective to efficiently analyze data – for organizations of all sizes and users of all types.”

Users can also easily connect their Yellowfin for AWS instance to Amazon Redshift – AWS’s fully managed, petabyte-scale data warehouse service.

“We have seen a strong trend of direct customers and SaaS providers deploying Yellowfin on AWS and then connecting to Amazon Redshift,” said Rabie. “People love the cloud because it’s fast to deploy, scalable and affordable.  And, that’s exactly what Yellowfin for AWS delivers, making it easy for non-technical users to quickly create and share an unlimited number of beautiful visualizations, reports and dashboards from any device for free.

“Not only can users take advantage of this free offer straight away, the extreme scalability of both solutions means it’s easy to upgrade at anytime, to start performing Big Data Analytics quickly and cost-effectively, and seamlessly scale throughout the enterprise.”

Rabie went on to say that Yellowfin for AWS also provides an ideal platform for companies wanting to build a secure hosted SaaS BI solution for multiple clients.

“Yellowfin combines perfectly with Amazon Redshift, enabling companies to easily deliver a secure multi-tenant BI environment,” said Rabie.

Yellowfin’s credentials as a cloud-based BI solution were also recently recognized in the Business Applications Research Center’s (BARC) The BI Survey 14 – the world’s largest survey of BI users.

Yellowfin was voted the top ranked cloud BI solution, in the ‘Dashboard’ and ‘Ad-hoc Reporting’ Vendor Peer Groups, for the third year in a row.

“Cloud BI is clearly a space that Yellowfin dominates,” said Founder and CEO of BARC, Dr Carsten Bange.  “Yellowfin has obviously invested heavily in cloud BI and was early to market with its solution.  Yellowfin’s cloud-based clients reported strong achievement of the business benefits sought from their BI implementations.”

The BI Survey 14 also noted Yellowfin’s flexible licensing model and cloud-based deployment options as factors contributing to its cloud BI dominance.

“Yellowfin supports deployments as SaaS in traditionally hosted environments or in the cloud, supporting either multi-database or multi-tenancy environments,” stated the report.  “Its flexible subscription-based pricing model helps in this area.”

Yellowfin will be demonstrating Yellowfin on AWS as an exhibitor at re:Invent 2014, booth number 132, November 11 – 14. re:Invent is the world’s largest annual gathering of the global AWS community.
