Vitec Launches Applications for Mobile Devices

Vitec Fastighetssystem is launching a new product line of applications for smart phones and next generation tablets. A major investment is being made in the product area, with delivery of the new applications beginning in the first quarter of 2011. The new product line will make key modules and functionality from Vitec Property Management and Energy Monitoring systems, available for use on mobile devices based on Apple iOS, Android and Windows 7 Mobile platforms.
“With the rapid development in the mobile area, we now have access to powerful and user-friendly devices such as smart phones and tablets. These units are excellent platforms to make our systems more accessible to our customers and our customers’ customers “said Tommy Hallberg, CEO of Vitec Fastighetssystem.
“We see enormous opportunities in this area, where this new venture will increase the value of our product offering,” continues Hallberg. “A prerequisite for success is that the applications support multiple mobile platforms. We have therefore chosen an approach where we will support three platforms, Apple, Google Android and Windows. ”
“Already today, many customers are using our mobile applications for technical management and energy meter readings, which are designed for Windows Mobile. We will continue to support and maintain these applications, though by extension they will be affected by the new strategy,” says Hallberg.
