Visual Analytics for Apache Spark and SparkR Makes its Debut at Strata + Hadoop World

New York, NY, September 30, 2015 – Today at Strata + Hadoop World, TIBCO Software Inc., a global leader in integration, analytics, and event processing, announced the availability of TIBCO Spotfire® Cloud’s data discovery and advanced analytics connector to Apache Spark™ SQL, along with the industry’s first commercial integration with SparkR. Certified by Databricks, the Apache Spark project’s steward, TIBCO’s direct connector to Spark™ SQL and engine-level integration with SparkR provides data scientists and business users a flexible, seamless, and easy way to query, analyze, and visualize Apache Hadoop® data. Coupled with the existing Databricks-certified TIBCO Jaspersoft® Spark integration, TIBCO Analytics provides a unique cradle-to-grave data discovery, analytics, and reporting capability that enables business-critical analytics to be readily developed and embedded throughout the enterprise.

The Spark SQL direct connector is now Generally Available in TIBCO Spotfire Cloud, and will also be incorporated in the next TIBCO Spotfire® on-premises release.
