SCANPAY.IT launches a new method to pay on smartphones and tablets that makes entering credit card information as easy as taking a picture.

SCANPAY.IT aims to integrate this solution in over 10 000 mobile applications worldwide and make it a standard approved by a large majority of users.

SCANPAY.IT enables mobile apps to drastically increase their checkout conversion rate

When it comes to selling products or services on mobile applications, one of the biggest issues is to convince users to pay on their smartphones or tablets. With ScanPay, the user must simply hold the card briefly in front of the camera. Our engine will automatically recognize the numbers and the expiration date. With this outstanding process, we want to double m-commerce apps conversion rates and help them in the enrollment process of new customers.

SCANPAY.IT will make life easier for mobile users and mobile apps developers

Given the checkout complexity, mobile conversion rates are staggeringly low, despite a massive adoption of mobile devices as a shopping tool. Very often, the time needed, the frequent typing errors make the process strenuous and lead to purchase cancellations.

ScanPay is the solution to such issues. It is a software development kit (SDK), i.e. some lines of code that just need to be added by developers in their apps own code. Developers can access the SDK trough the website https://scanpay.it, access all documentation and files needed, and integrate ScanPay within their apps in less than half an hour.

Once added, the SDK provides any iOS or Android app with a simple, fast, safe and efficient credit card scanning tool.

SCANPAY.IT does not operate payments, but works with all payment service providers and banks. Strong partnerships have been set up with different payment platforms such as PAYBOX Services (VeriFone Group), with whom SCANPAY.IT signed a European distribution agreement to more than 30,000 merchants.

Apps using ScanPay are already live, and many merchants such as BAZARCHIC are currently beta testing the solution.

SCANPAY.IT is also working alongside with mobile development agencies like Pure Agency, Backelite or Air Web on different approaches to integrate the technology and devise new mobile payment solutions.

FAQ: SCANPAY.IT in a few questions

Q: How to use this system?

A: With ScanPay, mobile users are offered during the checkout process the option to scan their card rather than typing manually its information (numbers and expiration date). They just have to hold their card in front of their smartphone or tablet camera. It will be scanned automatically and the information will fill the payment form.

Q: Where can we use this system?

A: All major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) can be scanned, no matter where they are from. ScanPay can be implemented in any country of the world where such cards are used, without distinction. The list of applications using or testing ScanPay is growing fast every weeks, in France where it was launched first but also worldwide.

Q: Could I use this solution in local shops?

A: ScanPay can be integrated into any type of project, as long as it includes a mobile application. Therefore, the possibilities are countless and we would love to support innovative projects for local businesses.

Q: Could I use this solution in brick-and-mortar stores?

A: Web-to-store uses can of course be imagined. Here again, we are open to hear any innovative project in the matter and accompany such initiatives.
