Continuing simplifying Java-based mobile application development, Oracle today previewed the next generation Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) Mobile, an extension of the Oracle Application Development Framework.
Part of Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle ADF Mobile enables native and web functionality to be deployed in the same mobile application.
Based on a next-generation framework, the latest capabilities simplify mobile application development. Developers can write applications once and deploy to multiple device platforms, including Apple iOS mobile devices.
Oracle ADF Mobile also allows developers to easily extend enterprise applications to mobile channels and can provide deep and complete access to a mobile device’s native capabilities.
To further support the convergence of Web and mobile application development, a rich visual and declarative environment that is consistent with Oracle ADF, enables developers to leverage existing skills.
Developers that attend Oracle OpenWorld 2011 in San Francisco will have the chance to learn more about Oracle ADF Mobile during Oracle Chief Architect and senior vice president, Ted Farrell’s general session in the Oracle Develop stream: Evolving Beyond Enterprise Web Application Development, on Tuesday at 10:15am.
