New FB Feature Lets Friends Rock Out to the Same Tune

A new feature in Facebook lets friends listen to each other’s musical selections, either one on one or via group chat. The music is supplied by Rdio and Spotify. “We’re really simply seeing two distinct markets. We have the on-demand market, where anything that Facebook does is going to help Spotify, and the more traditional radio market, where there’s an element of discovery,” said Maxim Group’s John Tinker.
