SAN DIEGO and PLEASANTON, Calif. — June 8, 2015 — ManageEngine, the real-time IT management company, today announced deep packet inspection (DPI) for NetFlow Analyzer, the company’s real-time bandwidth and security analysis software. The new DPI capabilities rely on packet-level analysis to deliver NetFlow Analyzer’s most accurate bandwidth monitoring. Now, network and IT admins can determine whether the network or the application is at fault when troubleshooting application traffic issues and react quickly to issues before they impact end users.

ManageEngine will be demonstrating NetFlow Analyzer and its new DPI feature at Cisco Live, being held June 7–11, 2015, in San Diego. A silver sponsor of the show, ManageEngine will be in booth 1107 meeting with attendees and conducting a short attendee survey.
“Today, the application ecosystem is exploding with the proliferation of mobile-enabled, cloud-based services ranging from basic email to CRM to advanced, big data analytics,” said Dev Anand, director of product management at ManageEngine. “To make it easier for network administrators to troubleshoot app delivery problems, we are adding deep packet inspection to our tools. Now, admins can easily pinpoint whether the problem is with the network or the application — with 100 percent accuracy.”
Highlights of NetFlow Analyzer v11.6 Beta
NetFlow Analyzer v11.6 beta lets users monitor the quality of the end-user experience with a response time dashboard that displays network vs. application response time data and transaction volume of top applications. The new version gives admins clear visibility into the volumes of application traffic for the enterprise network. It also enables admins to diagnose application performance problems and drill even further to the root cause of performance degradation issues.
NetFlow Analyzer allows deep packet inspection by mirroring the router or firewall traffic to the DPI server where packet capturing is done. In turn, the new capturing capabilities in NetFlow Analyzer provide the following reports and insights:
– Response time dashboard to view an at-a-glance summary of applications
– Network and application response time reports to help troubleshoot issues faster
– Application traffic volume reports and drill-down options to know which users are consuming the most bandwidth
– Criteria-based custom search reports for user-specific reports
