PLEASANTON, Calif. — March 20, 2013 — ManageEngine, the real-time IT management company, today launched AD360, the integrated solution for identity and access management (IAM) in organizations running on Windows-based infrastructure. From everyday user management to keeping user activity compliant with IT regulatory laws, AD360 is engineered to holistically address all aspects of IAM for SMBs and enterprise organizations that use Windows Active Directory.
In Windows environments, IAM means more than provisioning users. End users themselves must also be able to perform self-service tasks, which relieves the IT help desk of routine duties so that IT staff can concentrate on more demanding help desk chores. Similarly, the increasing demands of IT regulations are driving IT organizations to generate a growing number of reports to demonstrate compliance. While discrete, individual products can meet these demands on a point by point basis, they complicate IAM efforts with multiple management consoles, product configurations and sign on credentials.
“AD360’s offering is very good. It’s an interesting mix of solutions that caters to various IAM needs arising in our environment,” said Clive Newport, head of IT Infrastructure and Support at Vasanta Group. “Both ADMP and SSP have gone a long way to simplify and automate our IAM requirements. Product development seems active, and most importantly, ManageEngine support is responsive and helpful across all the products we use.”
“Without the right tools in hand, accomplishing the IAM goals in a Windows organization becomes a wild goose chase for the IT administrator,” said Manikandan Thangaraj, director of product management at ManageEngine. “AD360 puts the right tools in a single product, creating a unified console that offers an end-to-end solution to their Active Directory IAM needs.”
More Information about AD360
ManageEngine has developed a significant presence in the IAM arena with its four Active Directory solutions: ADManager Plus for management and reporting, ADSelfService Plus for self-service password management ADAudit Plus for auditing and reporting and Exchange Reporter Plus for Exchange reporting. Now, AD360 unifies these ManageEngine solutions in a modular yet integrated identity and management solution. Users can combine any or all of the AD360 modules to create a single console, single sign on and single product configuration for Active Directory IAM. The AD360 modules include:
Active Directory Management module addresses all the general as well as complex user lifecycle management needs that arise in a Windows environment. From user provisioning or role definition to Active Directory reporting, everything can be automated with this module. Its built-in workflow engine standardizes Active Directory operations and governs delegated Active Directory operations.
Active Directory Auditing and Windows Security module ensures accountability for user activities including resource access. The module can audit Active Directory, Windows file servers, NAS devices (NetApp filers), member servers, and workstations to ensure organizations are compliant with IT regulatory laws such as HIPAA, SOX, FISMA and others.
IT Self Service module lets end-users reset forgotten passwords and even fill their profile information into the directory on their own, without the IT help desk. The module sends out password expiration reminders, ensuring users who access the network on the go do not find themselves stranded due to expired passwords. The module also offers an Internet-deployable corporate directory search.
Exchange Reporting and Auditing module offers more than 100 reports to give IT administrators insight into the various Exchange server components. Self-explanatory statistics on email traffic, mailbox storage growth and usage pattern provide the administrator with all the vital information required to optimize the Exchange server. Additionally, this module serves as a vital security tool that can pinpoint who made what changes in Exchange server, such as a change to a user’s mailbox permission.
