Setting up an Instagram page for your business is a very smart idea and one which can help you to grow your brand and drive more sales. One of the biggest challenges when creating an Instagram account however is how you can get more people to follow you on the site. After all, the more real Instagram followers which you have, the more opportunity you have to promote your business.
Thankfully there are some strategies which you can employ in order to amass more followers on Instagram and here are some which you should try.
Buying Followers
If you are happy to invest some money and you want to see an almost instant rise in the amount of followers on your Instagram account, why not consider buying them. I use this term loosely as in actual fact what you will be doing is paying for someone to work on your account to bring in more followers. I must stress that if you find someone who will give you an automatic following for cash, it is likely that these followers don’t actually exist and whilst you will get more followers, they won’t be of any value to you.
Commenting
Try spend an hour per day commenting on the content of others within your niche or industry, you will find that in doing so, many will follow you back after your comments. When you are looking at someone else’s profile, don’t simply like or comment for the sake of it, look for something which you believe is solid content and offers you value, this way your comment will sound much more wholesome.
Hashtag Usage
Hashtags are used by social media sites like Instagram, to group together collections of content which follow a similar theme. By adding hashtags on to your content, you can make sure that it will be easy to find for your potential new followers. For example, let’s say you run a cafe that makes the best sandwiches in the neighborhood, uploading a mouthwatering photo with #tastysandwiches attitude to it will ensure that most people searching for shots of tasty sandwiches are likely to find your business, and potentially follow it.
Geotagging
Instagram is obviously a global platform and so if you are running a local business, it will make no sense for you to pitch your marketing towards someone on the other side of the world. For this reason you should use geotagging in your posts so that you increase your visibility to potential new followers and customers. More and more people are using Instagram like a search engine or directory to find the things that they want in their locality and by adding geotags you can ensure that when these potential customers look around, your profile and your business is the one which they will find.
Make sure that you are always producing great content, half of the work is employing the above tactics to get people to your profile, the other half is having strong enough content that will make them follow you.
