Huddle today announced that Grant Thornton, one of the world’s leading organizations of independent assurance, tax and advisory firms, will make secure cloud collaboration technology available to member firms across the globe. Using Huddle, Grant Thornton member firms will be able to bring together client teams in a central online environment to best manage international engagements. With the cloud collaboration service, teams can share best practice and create secure portals for client engagement, providing a consistent approach to communication worldwide and shortening response times.

With nearly 39,000 people working within Grant Thornton member firms, Huddle has been used to support member firms involved in global key client teams helping them to deliver distinctive, first-class client service. The cloud collaboration service allows firms to share and work on files with geographically dispersed teams and delivery partners, supporting clients across the world.

“Our member firm client teams are dispersed across the globe and these teams need important information at their fingertips. We are always mindful of the legal requirements to safeguard client information – but just as critical is our need for these teams to be able to respond to changing client needs immediately and to collaborate in a safe and productive environment,” explains Gernot Hebestreit, Global Leader – Business Development and Markets, Grant Thornton International Ltd. “With access to this agreement, our teams can now easily access and deploy Huddle’s cloud collaboration service to support effective communication with clients and stakeholders worldwide.”

“Today, people not only have to work with their colleagues internally, but also teams across the firewall, such as partners and contractors, and Grant Thornton is a great example of this,” explains Alastair Mitchell, CEO, Huddle. “It’s fantastic to see our innovative cloud collaboration technology being made available on an enterprise-wide scale, following the service’s success in numerous projects across the business. We’re looking forward to working closely with Grant Thornton, supporting global teams and helping them achieve their business goals.”
