Innovations in Scalability and Analytics Address Critical Needs for Modern IT Operations

SAN FRANCISCO, April 26, 2016 – Rocana, a pioneer in applying big data analytics to IT Operations, today announced that it has been named a Cool Vendor in the report titled, “Cool Vendors in Availability and Performance, 2016”1 by analysts Cameron Haight, Vivek Bhalla, Colin Fletcher, and Sanjit Ganguli at Gartner, Inc. The report evaluates several vendors that are applying advanced analytics and enhanced scalability to tame increasingly complex IT environments.

“We are honored to be recognized by Gartner as a Cool Vendor in Availability and Performance,” said Omer Trajman, CEO and Co-Founder, Rocana. “We believe the role of IT Operations is shifting to drive insights to the rest of IT and to enable greater visibility into the business as a whole. But to do this at scale combining application, network, and infrastructure data — and in a cost-friendly manner — has been the main industry challenge. Rocana Ops is the only tool that affordably enables real-time collection, management, and analysis of operational data to quickly identify and resolve the root cause of IT problems.”

“IT operations teams focusing on improving availability and performance continue to be challenged with tools that require extensive skills and have a long time to value,” according to Colin Fletcher, Research Director, Gartner, et al. “IT operations teams are also having difficulty with management tooling not being able to support an IT world that is increasingly composed of cloud-, mobile- and container-based resources.”
