FuseSource Corp., the experts in open source integration and messaging, today announced that the company was among a select group of leading vendors invited to participate in the April 2011 report, The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Service Bus, Q2 2011. In this evaluation, Fuse™ ESB achieved leader status, with high scores in the architecture, orchestration and product strategy categories.
According to the independent report, “FuseSource scored well in its first ESB evaluation” and “represents a solid ESB solution that would be a good choice for meeting many enterprise integration and service-oriented architecture requirements.” Commenting on the market in general for open source ESB technology, the report indicates, “open source ESB vendors made significant progress in catching up with commercial ESB providers and now provide a viable option for a growing number of enterprises.”
Fuse ESB is a flexible, standards-based enterprise service bus based on Apache ServiceMix. Certified, productized and fully supported by the people who wrote the code, the technology serves as the central integration and application “backbone” supporting enterprise integration efforts. Fuse ESB features a highly flexible, pluggable architecture that allows organizations to use any standard JBI or OSGi-compliant service engine or binding component – including BPEL, Apache Camel routes, XSLT or JMX engines – as a Fuse ESB container.
“Companies today are successfully deploying open source integration and messaging technology at the heart of their enterprise IT projects,” explained Larry Alston, president, FuseSource. “This achievement is further evidence that open source integration technology is well positioned to meet the needs of the most stringent enterprise IT requirements.”
Developers and architects interested in seeing the Fuse ESB and other FuseSource open source integration and messaging solutions in action can do so at the inaugural CamelOne Conference, taking place May 24-26, 2011, at the Westin Arlington Gateway, Arlington, Va. The event is designed to provide professionals using open source integration and messaging solutions in the enterprise with an opportunity to meet, learn and share ideas with the experts, including founders of and committers to integration and messaging projects within the Apache Software Foundation.
