DST Health Solutions, LLC, today announced its patent-pending 3i event integration platform, which provides transparent access to strategic operational data by integrating real-time events from across a health plan. An industry-first, 3i offers DST Health Solutions customers the ability to view the operational status of their claims, and flags issues requiring immediate attention. DST Health Solutions has made 3i available via download at the Apple® App Store(SM).
3i was developed to identify time-based operational patterns. When the rules engine detects patterns of interest, regardless of complexity, it can alert all subscribed parties— including executives, line managers or business process management applications such as AWD— via desktop or mobile device. 3i delivers a new breed of proactive transparency by searching for events in real-time that may fall into complex patterns.
“The rapidly changing healthcare industry mandates that businesses be agile and able to adapt to these changes as they appear,” said Steve Sabino, president, DST Health Solutions. “At DST Health Solutions, our goal is to create revolutionary products that directly influence how our customers navigate the changing healthcare landscape. To that extent, 3i allows users the flexibility and visibility they require to identify, assess and react to issues in real-time by using tools that enable them to work when and where it is convenient.”
Benefits of the 3i event integration platform include:
- A flexible system that allows customers to dictate specific data and alerts
- Issue submissions made directly from the report
- The ability for users to “tag” specific reports
“The healthcare industry is struggling to manage mountains of data in order to maintain operational performance. With 3i, we have greatly improved access to the critical data health plan executives need to ensure their operational goals are met,” said Katherine Bland, executive vice president of operations, DST Health Solutions. “Our outsourcing relationships have been strengthened by this level of transparency. Our customers now have the same real-time data and alerts we do. We are proud to be among the first to bring this level of transparency to the market.”
The 3i platform can be integrated with any core claims engine. It is available to all health plans as a cloud solution, and can help mitigate administrative costs. It can be configured to look for a wide variety of client defined patterns, in addition to patterns in operations data, call center data, financial data, and soon care management data. Customers using an iPad or iPhone® can download the product’s “Platypus” app that will allow them to run the 3i platform from their mobile device.
