LOS ANGELES, CA – February 17, 2015 – dinCloud, a cloud services provider that helps businesses rapidly migrate to the cloud through business provisioning, today announced that Zebra Technologies, a global leader in products and services that provide real-time visibility into organizations’ assets, people, and transactions, selected dinCloud to implement its hosted virtual desktops to simplify the onboarding process of over 550 employees following its acquisition of Motorola Solutions’ Enterprise business in October 2014.
“Organizations are looking to consume technology via the cloud as opposed to acquiring, implementing, managing, and maintaining their own IT environment. Especially with a merger and acquisition, this approach greatly reduces the time and expense that surrounds traditional IT services, as well as the complexity in combining two disparate IT environments, said David Graffia, VP of sales, dinCloud. “dinCloud is perfectly positioned to take advantage of this trend, enabling companies, like Zebra, to create operational synergies that allow for a more efficient IT operation and business model during the acquisition phase and thereafter.”
After conducting proof of concepts (POCs) with multiple Desktop as a Service (DaaS) providers, Zebra chose dinCloud’s webHVD virtual desktop. webHVD provides Zebra’s users, new and existing, access to their entire digital workspace from multiple devices via the Chrome browser with no client software to be installed on the endpoint device (e.g. laptop, desktop, mobile phone, etc.)
“During the POC stage, dinCloud’s team produced, made changes, and provisioned desktops on the spot, allowing us to see the speed at which they could help us onboard our new employees,” said Dave East, IS manager, global client engineering, Zebra Technologies. “Today, the speed and ease of use of dinCloud’s cloud automation portal, dinManage, aligns well with Zebra’s efforts to build one company with unparalleled capabilities and leading global brands in our industry.”
“CDW and dinCloud have been collaborating and winning significant market share, and many strategic customers have selected and implemented dinCloud in partnership with CDW,” said Eric Ludwig, cloud team lead, aggregation services at CDW, a dinCloud value added reseller. “dinCloud’s service is high performing and continues to win customers due to its ability to execute with low risk and cost of entry.”
