San Diego, CA – August 19, 2013 – Delta Community Credit Union, Georgia’s largest credit union with assets exceeding $4 billion and more than 280,000 members, will be presenting at the TDWI BI Executive Summit on Wednesday, August 21. The presentation will detail how the credit union has successfully incorporated agile methodologies and used WhereScape’s integrated development environment to incrementally develop and deploy to an enterprise data warehouse with promising results.  The topic, “Delivering Business Value at Delta Community Credit Union through the Adoption of Agile BI Best Practices” will be co-presented by Sharon Odom, Vice President for Strategic Planning & Performance, and Su Rayburn, Director of Business Intelligence Services at Delta Community Credit Union.

The presentation will detail how Delta Community has adopted technology, tools and processes that encourage iterative development with the focus placed on identifying and delivering to definitive customer needs by building a tight partnership with the business community. The resultant effect has been considerable business value delivered in the short term and the company’s renewed confidence in its long term ability to get what it needs from its business intelligence investments.

Attendees will also learn how Delta Community:

  • * Formed a deep and strategic partnership amongst all stakeholders – leaders & management, end user community and IT.
  • * Was able to start delivering rapidly and efficiently in a quick succession of projects with a small team.
  • * Was able to build a common enterprise business vocabulary through grass root level involvement and co-operation.

About Delta Community Credit Union

Delta Community provides its members with an array of financial products including checking and savings accounts, credit card services, insurance, investment and financial programs.  To be even more responsive to the financial needs of its fast-growing membership, Delta Community is developing an enterprise data warehouse to consolidate and analyze its share, loan and member information.  The company selected Teradata for its data warehouse platform and is using WhereScape in a “prototype and iterate” approach to rapidly create Teradata native objects, including tables, models, views and indexes, as well as set-based procedures and load scripts to extract, transform and load data in the data warehouse.

About WhereScape

WhereScape designs, develops, sells and supports WhereScape 3D, the industry’s first data warehouse planning tool; and WhereScape RED, the industry’s first and best integrated development environment for building, deploying, managing and renovating data warehouses.  WhereScape’s products are used in every kind of business intelligence project found in today’s commercial environment: from normal-form enterprise data warehouses and data vaults, through user access layers and tiers of dependent data marts, to standalone data marts and reporting systems.

Our more than 600 customers are active and satisfied users of our technologies, and report that, with WhereScape’s products, they are able to build data warehouses with fewer people, few if any diversions, missed deadlines or unmet user expectations, and in record time: in days or weeks, instead of months or years.  WhereScape has offices in Portland, Oregon; Auckland, New Zealand; and Reading, UK.  For more information, please visit www.wherescape.com.
