Scientists at MIT and Georgia tech have come up with a method for quickly scanning living brains. The technology could be further developed and combined with other techniques for gaining new insights on a patient’s brain. “For example, such a study could be used to discover the cellular processes underlying diseases” like epilepsy, narcolepsy or Alzheimer’s, said researcher Craig Forest.
