San Diego, CA – August 21, 2013 – BP Logix, developer of BPM software that accelerates time-to-value, today announced the general availability of Process Director Version 3.0. The newest version of the company’s flagship product is available in both on-premise and Cloud versions as of August 21, 2013.
Process Director Version 3.0 enhances BPM with social media integration. The version enables customers to: 1) Drive workflow behavior from social media events including a tweet or Facebook status update; 2) Respond to customers via Twitter (tweet, RT, DM, reply) and 3) Manage Facebook campaigns (likes/unlikes, comments). Process Director 3.0 goes beyond social media management to provide a BPM solution from the service ticket that was initiated to indicate a pending problem to the response that indicates the problem is being addressed in real-time.
Version 3.0 enables organizations to provide services to customers, partners and suppliers outside their organization through cloud-based/federated identity integration. Customers can participate in workflows as authenticated users, taking advantage of their accounts within Facebook, Twitter and Google. Corporate partners and suppliers can log in using ADFS, SAML and Oauth. With Process Director 3.0 users can integrate popular network and cloud-based services directly into their business processes. These include saving files to Dropbox, filling dropdown menus using Google Sheets, collaborating with colleagues on presentations using SharePoint, downloading documents from Google Docs or populating form fields with data from Amazon SimpleDB. Process Director 3.0 brings the cloud to enterprise business processes.
According to noted BPM expert Nathaniel Palmer of BPM.com, “Process Director extends notification of business events and the ability to act on these events to the furthest edge-points of the extended enterprise – engaging customers and partners as easily as departmental colleagues and internal stakeholders. This notion illustrates the defining capability and value offered by the emergent class of “Intelligent BPM” or “iBPM Suites.”
Palmer adds, “Intelligent in the context of this emergent class of BPM is not a matter of “smart vs. dumb” but rather intelligence in terms of visibility. It is the ability to extend awareness and interaction with process activities beyond the confines of the firewall and physical enterprise – and to safely interact both in the cloud and across social networks. Yet perhaps the most critical aspect of Intelligent BPM is the compression of response time, by creating closed-loop communications with actionable analytics.”
Additionally, Process Director 3.0 facilitates collaborative, multimedia annotation directly within its workflows. Multiple simultaneous users can markup and review documents, photos, audio, web pages and videos within the context of any process. Legal and compliance teams can collaborate with sales and marketing to ensure that communications are accurate, effective and address compliance requirements. This capability extends the benefits of BPM and workflow to all media under review and re-review.
Process Director is an easy-to-deploy BPM solution that is business-friendly, does not require coding and offers a robust infrastructure. Its unique features include:
- * The patented Process Timeline™ technology
- * Multiple levels of security and authentication
- * The ability to provide access to authorized users from any web browser
- * Easy migration from the cloud to on-premise
“BP Logix Process Director addresses the business process management requirements of enterprises, mid-sized companies, agencies, and non-profits. Both business and IT leaders have counted on Process Director to automate and improve their critical business processes,” commented Jay O’Brien, CEO of BP Logix. “As forward-looking organizations seek additional ways to take advantage of cloud-based and social media technologies, Process Director 3.0 provides the capabilities and features to make this strategic expansion possible,” he concluded.
