Approov Taps Cybersecurity Executive Ted Miracco as CEO
December 9, 2022 No CommentsMobile app and API shielding security provider Approov has named Ted Miracco as CEO, succeeding David Stewart who retires after 20 years with a solid track record of year-over-year sales growth and award-winning technical achievement.
Approov enables organizations to protect their production mobile applications and APIs against current and future attack types, including those that were not considered when an app was first conceived, developed and launched. The SaaS platform is considered a cornerstone of mobile application security by leading global organizations whose consumer and B2B applications are used by millions annually, including eCommerce, financial services, healthcare and connected car sector organizations. The BMW Group, Sixt, Deindeal and MV Medic are among customers.

Prior to Approov, Miracco co-founded and served as CEO of Cylynt. He co-founded EDA company AWR Corporation (now Cadence Design Systems). In addition, he worked with several Fortune 500 software companies, including Cadence and startup company EEsof Inc., acquired by Hewlett Packard in 1994 and now Keysight EEsof EDA. Miracco holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
