BonitaSoft, the leading provider of open source Business Process Management (BPM) solutions, today announced that it has been included in Gartner Inc.’s “Cool Vendors in Business Process Management, 2011” report by Michele Cantara, John Dixon, Janelle Hill, David McCoy, Ned Frey and Jim Sinur.
BPM has gained strong traction in the enterprise over the past year and is increasingly seen as a necessary part of an organization’s IT infrastructure. Since its founding in June 2009, BonitaSoft has provided organizations with an intuitive BPM solution that allows users to easily define processes, create business process applications and manage activities, all without writing any code. Backed by a rapidly growing community, BonitaSoft averaged 40,000 downloads per month of its BPM suite in 2010, eclipsing half a million downloads in December 2010.
According to Gartner, “Open source has a unique appeal from a skills perspective; enthusiasts anticipate availability of a larger pool of individuals skilled in open source technology in comparison to the talent pool for any single commercial BPMS vendor’s product.”
“We’re honored to be recognized by Gartner as a ‘Cool Vendor’ less than two years after our founding,” said BonitaSoft CEO Miguel Valdés Faura. “We believe it’s a testament to the hard work put in by both our technical team and our thriving community. We look forward to sustaining this momentum as we continue to build on our offering and further fuel democratization in the BPM market.”
