GoAhead’s record sales results come as a capstone to a very busy and successful year for the company. The company made significant progress across a broad range of initiatives. Highlights in 2010 include:
- The integration of two acquisitions that broadened the company’s solution portfolio
- A major and successful strategy shift to an Open Source-based strategy for the company’s flagship high availability products
- Delivery of the industry’s first pre-integrated middleware platform with the launch of embeddedMIND 3.3 and OpenSAFfire 6.0
- Acquisition of major new customers in the telecommunications, aerospace and defense, and media industries
“It has been a transformational year for GoAhead Software,” said John Hansen, GoAhead Chairman and CEO. “We have been able to drive tremendous sales growth organically while also completely integrating two major acquisitions in the last 9 months. This significant progress further cements our position as a leader in the embedded COTS ecosystem.”
“The dynamics of the high-availability middleware market have evolved over the past 18 months,” said Brian Partridge, Vice-President, Network Research, Yankee Group. “Equipment manufacturers of all sizes are reaching an inflection point where COTS middleware alternatives are mature enough to provide time-to-market and cost advantages over the proprietary alternatives.”
