Virtualization management software snapped up by cloud computing firm

A cloud computing storage specialist has snapped up virtualization management software developer Akorri as it vies to boost the performance of both its virtual and cloud environments.

NetApp picked up Akorri Networks for an undisclosed sum and hopes that the acquisition, which is the first major deal the firm has undertaken since May of last year, will bolster its cloud computing services.
