The wide open spaces of Australia represent some of the world’s last true wildernesses and the nation’s unique terrain and nature make it truly special.
But these geographical challenges also mean that it’s also one of the countries that benefits most from technology’s capacity to boost connectivity and democratize opportunity in every aspect of life.
And according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the land Down Under is definitely switched on when it comes to digital opportunities – latest figures show that 59 per cent of businesses in the retail trade have a web presence, 56 per cent have a social media presence and 37 per cent of businesses receive orders via the internet, generating an annual income of $394 billion.
