FORT COLLINS, CO (1/24/18) — Don Wick, who retired in December 2017 as Chief of the Arvada (CO) Police Department, has been named Director of Operations at Numerica Corporation.
Numerica delivers state-of-the-art defense and law enforcement solutions to both government and industry customers. For its law enforcement customers, Numerica provides mission-critical insights to law enforcement, intelligence, and security professionals through the development of intuitive law enforcement database software, crime analysis software, and analytics.
As Director of Operations at Numerica, Wick will plan and oversee day-to-day security and operations for Numerica’s business lines, including Lumen, Numerica’s law enforcement search, analysis, and data sharing platform that allows users to search and analyze data from disparate data sources.
Wick will also work closely with the other members of Numerica’s Executive Team to set strategic goals, improve operational efficiency, evaluate business procedures, and implement new directives for the company’s continued growth.

Wick served as Police Chief in the City of Arvada for more than 10 years before retiring in December 2017. He started his career with the Arvada Police Department as an Officer in July 1985, advancing to Sergeant, Lieutenant, Commander, and Deputy Chief before being named Chief in July 2007. He also served as a Police Officer with the City of Laramie from 1981-1985.
In addition to his work in law enforcement, Wick has been active in a number of local charities and community organizations. He formerly served on the boards of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Ralston House, the Jefferson Foundation, and the Arvada Vitality Alliance Board.
Wick is a graduate of the Metropolitan State University of Denver, with a BA in criminal justice. He also has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business.
