Businesses taking their first tentative steps into cloud computing could face “huge” data security risks, HP has suggested.
The comments follow a consultation by the European Union into how best to implement the new technology.
It identified the potential cost savings and revenues businesses could benefit from by adopting the cloud.
However, Subbu Iyer, senior director of products, application lifecycle management software at HP, suggested that beginners to cloud computing should proceed with caution.
