Cloud unified communications (UC) started as a mostly small and midsize business (SMB) phenomenon, but has recently been moving upmarket to larger enterprise customers based on demand. A lot of SMB-focused cloud UC providers use an over-the-top (OTT) service delivery model that attempts to use existing Internet connections to carry UC service. But we have found that an OTT service delivery model doesn’t work well for the enterprise.
