A perfectly curated Instagram feed is a grid of content that is cohesive. The primary reason for ensuring that all your posts mesh together is to grow your brand and following. Instagram is a perfect platform to tap, boasting over a billion active users, therefore so one of the most favoured social media platforms on the planet today. Well-selected content and photos on your Instagram feed are similar to a digital mood board for your followers. This mood board serves as an advertisement to entice and encourage sales. In addition, a perfectly curated Instagram feed allows you to showcase your brand’s personality and values.

Besides creating hashtags to define your brand, here are a few strategic steps to better engage your customers.

All in the details

First and foremost, consider a cloud management platform that can protect your data. Explore the AWS diagram to secure information about your brand. The second is to choose a few subjects or products to photograph. Food shots or the interior and exterior of your restaurants or select images that captures the cuisine you are serving are image content you can choose to play with. Next is to choose a cohesive colour palette. Identify your brand colours and mix them up. Choose from a wide array of combinations such as complementary, analogous, monochromatic or tetradic hues. Once you have identified the right colour combinations, stick to them throughout the feed. Filters can also help to inject creativity into your content. Use applications like Canva to play with colour schemes.

Utilise a grid planning tool

A grid planning tool can preplan photos and content. This tool allows you to preview posts before posting. Plann is an example of an application that has this feature. You can also do scheduled posts or post them yourself.

It’s all about the aesthetics

Being artful and inventive plays a significant role in enhancing your Instagram feed. The feed should be able to embody your brand and the theme you want to achieve. The theme should align with the posts. It should follow an aesthetic flow—for example, food and behind the scenes at a restaurant or plated food and raw ingredients. A popular flow is home life and travel. The creation of the Instagram vibe is everything. Your vibe should reflect your personality and be uniquely you to pass your story or your brand’s.

Consistency is king

Keep the layout of your feed coherent by using the same filters. It should be able to flow as naturally as possible. It does not follow to use a single filter; you can be creative about it. Case in point, if your aesthetic is dark, filters should be more on monochromatic hues rather than golden or warm.

Nothing should be out of place.

Be detailed and selective on images to post. A busy photo would be out of place in a minimalist feed. Photos should be cohesive in terms of mood, emotion, aesthetic and lighting.

100% original

An original image and content uniquely stand out in the sea of photos on Instagram. You should be able to elevate and improve taking pictures yourself. It is always a plus for any business to produce unique and original content.

Instagram creates a significant potential to grow your brand. It demands hard work, attention to detail, research and creativity. But, on the other hand, what it can do for your brand outweighs all the effort.
