A remark made by Google Chairman Eric Schmidt during Senate antitrust hearings indicated Google fears Siri, the voice-activated assistant on the iPhone 4S. Granted, the context of the remark raises questions regarding its sincerity. But mobile search is still a wide-open field — is there room there for Apple or some other competitor to threaten the Web’s most stalwart search engine?
