BROOKLYN (January 23, 2013) – High Point Solutions, Inc., a global IT Services and Solutions Provider and Cisco Systems Gold Partner, announces the successful implementation of Cisco’s Connected Stadium Wi-Fi and StadiumVision solutions in the new Barclays Center, securing the venue’s position as one of the most technologically advanced arenas in the world.

“We are thrilled that High Point Solutions, a leader in the technology service industry, has had such an impact on the technology within Barclays Center,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of Barclays Center and the Brooklyn Nets.  “Barclays Center offers one of the most innovative and technologically advanced fan experiences of any major sports and entertainment venue. This is in large part because of High Point Solutions’ guidance and expertise in developing and implementing a solution to support our vision.”

Enabling the fan experience at Barclays Center is a Cisco Connected Stadium intelligent network.  This single innovation platform allows Barclays Center to centrally control all aspects of technology including wired and wireless access, security, surveillance, ticketing, and point of sale transactions. The platform is designed to support large volumes of high-definition video and high-density Wi-Fi Coverage throughout the arena. The Cisco Connected Stadium network has proven successful at venues hosting major sports and entertainment events around the world.

“It has always been our goal to make Barclays Center the most technologically advanced arena and we needed a great technology partner to make that happen,” said Chip Foley, Director of Building Technology, Forest City Ratner Companies (developer of Barclays Center). “The High Point Solutions team was the right fit and remained agile and ever dedicated to the venue’s success. They flawlessly executed the installation enabling Barclays Center to have a smooth technical opening. High Point’s experience in project management, Network design, VOIP, and wireless helped us complete the project on time and set the bar for future sports and entertainment venues.”

In addition to spearheading the technology design and execution for this landmark project, High Point is also a strategic partner of the arena and the Brooklyn Nets and serves as the Presenting Sponsor for Barclays Center Business Alliance, a business development association designed for networking and striking strategic business-to-business relationships. Members of the Barclays Center Business Alliance have opportunities to attend exclusive speaker series events, industry targeted networking workshops, as well as access to a password protected website that serves as a connection point between corporations.

Tom Mendiburu, Co-Founder of High Point, shared his vision regarding the company’s dedication to success in sports and entertainment enabling technologies:  “High Point Solutions is proud to provide solutions for professional sports leagues including the NHL, NBA, MLB and PGA Tour, and sports teams such as the Brooklyn Nets.  Our relationship with Rutgers University, through the Scarlet Knights playing in High Point Solutions Stadium, and our support of the Quinnipiac University Bobcats, are two recent examples of High Point’s dedication and commitment to collegiate athletics.  Through this best-in-class execution of Barclays Center, we can add construction of sports venues to our long history of supporting the sports and entertainment industry.  We’re excited about the opportunity to further strengthen our bonds, connections, and partnerships as we look forward to 2013.”
